Vendor Spotlight: The Headband Shoppe

It’s Spring and we’re ushering in the start of wedding season with some beautiful and fun alternatives for bride and groom accessories!  We simply adore this collection from Louisa Cash of The Headband Shoppe, a great Etsy shop with customizable pieces to add a little flair to your wedding look.

What’s more refreshing and unique than feather bridal fascinators to adorn your coiffed hairstyle?  The perfect alternative to a veil, these luxurious feather creations add a subtle splash of colour and sparkle to accent your dress with your wedding palette.

All eyes will turn to the dashing groom and groomsmen with these unconventional feather boutonnieres made of peacock feathers and wrapped in satin.  Fear not of wilting flowers in the summer heat, as these may provide a striking and elegant pairing to coordinate with a bride’s feather headpiece.

Every bride should consider accessorizing right down to her shoes!  There are no rules that bridal shoes must be white or ivory, as more and more women are opting for colourful or unexpected flashes of personality to dress their feet.  How easy it is to turn a classic neutral pair of pumps into a dressy showstopper worthy to be envied? The best part is, these clips are completely temporary, so you can wear your shoes again plain or snap on the feathers for another fun night out on the town as your mood strikes you.  We find this versatility very wearable for taking a day-shoe to special occasion in a matter of seconds!  Would make a cute bridesmaid gift if you want the girls to have a cohesive look without making them buy the same shoes.

 Meet the Owner

Louisa Cash, the owner and designer of these feather creations, founded The Headband Shoppe in 2009.  Fueled by her love of feather headbands and in the spirit of entrepreneurship, she started her Etsy shop to showcase her products.  The style reflects her own life, as she first designed bridal head pieces after planning her own wedding, now the ever popular fascinator made mainstream by royal influences in pop culture.  When her husband put his foot down on wearing flowers on his coat lapel at their wedding, Louisa found a solution by making her own custom feather boutonnieres for the groom and groomsmen, which were a huge hit!  Marked by ingenuity and hard work, Louisa has expanded her feather accessories to include a full line of bridal hairpieces, boutonnieres, corsages, earrings necklaces, sashes/belts, and peacock shoe clips.  The greatest part is she still cares about each of her customers and prides herself with quality and handmade pieces – truly the personal touch we appreciate.  Check out her latest pieces on her Etsy Shop and Facebook fan page!

Immerse yourselves in the pretty,
